Laurie Middleton Chris and Janet please lengthen the antenna to 67 foot (20.43 Metres) Adjusting the feed line for a better vswr does not change the radiation pattern back to a proper resonat antenna on 80/40/20/10. The feed line is not part of the antenna and does not change the rad.pattern.The antenna is now resonat on 4.25 mhz 8.5 mhz 17 mhz and 34 mhz.The current and voltage are no longer in phase on your antenna now.Give or take conditions know there wacky! I thought your signal was down.
Yes might be a prob.with room and it is easy for me too say here! add the correct length on each side of the dipole using an insulator and form a dog leg.This will make no difference to the radiation pattern and the antenna will be far more efficient. An off resonance antenna wont make much differencs to the recieved signal but a hell of a difference to the transmitted signal. Cheer s 73+88 Col and Laurie. Eve Cogsdell How can people eat junk all of the time? We hardly ever eat fast food and now I know why. After eating it 3 times this week (not proud of that), due to a crazy toss up in schedule, I feel so bad.
