MESSAGE:
The children of Israel were living in their luxurious homes while the temple of the Lord lay in ruin. In other words they were minding about their own affairs while neglecting the affairs pertaining to the house of the Lord. They were living good lives while men of God were suffering. Their houses were well managed while the house of God was poorly managed and neglected. Thus they were cursed.
They sowed much but harvested little, they drank but were not quenched of their thirst. They dressed but were not warmed, they earned wages but their money just vanished like putting money in a bag with holes. They looked for much but got little and by the time they got home they had nothing to show. Their life was dry and there was a drought in their lives. Their lives were characterised by lacked. Why? Because the house of the Lord was being neglected. You want a blessing?
Tend to the house of the Lord and take care of his Levite your pastor. Where does he live, how does he live, what does he eat, how does he dress, how is his family? How is your local church, is there a need you can meet, is there a contribution you can make, is there a life you can improve? It is your responsibility. Neglect it and you are inviting a curse in your life.
Stop talking about the shortcomings of your church or pastor. If any shortcoming, problems, challenges, weakness or need has been revealed to you, it is either so that you stand in the gap and pray or that you do something about it. It is not so that you post it on face book or talk about it. Notice in your own church that the ones who talk too much don’t paticipate in any church activity. They just wait to talk about the problems. As a result their lives are unproductive and stagnant. They are under a curse and need to repent to break the curse.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to your loving kindness and according to the multitude of your tender mercies blot out my transgressions in the name of Jesus Christ. (Psalm 51:1)
2. I confess that I have neglected your house and your Levite, my pastor
3. I ask you now to forgive me as I repent in dust and ashes in the name of Jesus Christ
4. Holy Spirit open my eyes that I may see what needs to be done and what I can do in the name of Jesus Christ
5. Lord Jesus Christ I ask you kindly to rebuke the devourer and reverse every curse operating in my life because of neglecting your house in the name of Jesus Christ
6. May I eat and be filled in the name of Jesus Christ.
7. May I drink and be quenched in the name of Jesus Christ
8. Holy Spirit seal up the holes in my pockets so my wages don’t disappear in the name of Jesus Christ
9. Cause my clothes to warm me in the name of Jesus Christ
10. Cause me to look for much and find it and bring it all home in the name of Jesus Christ
11. Holy Spirit burden me with the condition of the house of the Lord and the welfare of my pastor my concern in the name of Jesus Christ
12. When every other man runs to his own house cause me to run to the house of the Lord and to the man of God in the name of Jesus Christ.
13. Mighty God now open my heavens that they may give me rain and bless my fields that they may yield fruit in the name of Jesus Christ
14. Cause the drought in every area of my life come to an immediate end in the name of Jesus Christ
15. Let the labour of my hands now be blessed in the name of Jesus Christ
16. I take authority over every curse unleashed in any area of my life by neglecting the house and servant of God in the name of Jesus Christ
17. I command every demon associated with the curse to leave at once forever and be scattered never to regroup in the name of Jesus Christ.
18. May every area of my life house affected by the curse begin to receive divine fire of the Holy Ghost for renewal and restoration right now in the name of Jesus Christ
