* Franchise Agreement – is a legally binding agreement which outlines the franchisor’s terms and conditions for the franchisee. The franchise agreement also clearly outlines the obligations of the franchisor and the obligations of the franchisee. The franchise agreement is signed at the time an individual has made the final decision to buy the franchise.
* Trademark – is a distinctive sign or indicator used by an individual, business organization, or other legal entity to identify that the products or services to consumers with which the trademark appears originate from a unique source, and to distinguish its products or services from those of other entities. A trademark is usually a name, word, phrase, logo, symbol, design, image, or a combination of these elements.
* Royalty Fee – Is a set amount of money that a business franchise owner has to pay to be part of a franchise system. Usually, the fee is calculated as a percentage of gross or net sales and it is paid weekly, monthly or quarterly. The cost cover the privilege of using the franchise’s brand and the money is usually used to help out the franchisor (or parent company of the franchise) offset administrative and support functions.

The seminar and training schedule below is mandatory for all food cart owners. It is provided to Franchisee after completing the franchise application process and payment. Seminar and training is part of the franchise package — it’s FREE.

* Friday and Saturday – 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm
B. Crew/Staff Training
* Monday to Thursday (depending on food concepts) – 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
* Friday and Saturday (all food concepts) – 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
LOCATION ASSISTANCE
Our company offers site assistance; we have lots of suggested locations for you. Have your location approved by the company, if you have any. If you don’t have one, the company has a location assistance** to help you find a location (P3,000 for a maximum of 5 prospect locations)
We can still approve your application even without location, we will mark your food cart location OPEN LOCATION until you find one. In this case, the company will not release your cart until you declare your cart's location.

2. Barangay Business Clearance
* Clearance from building owner of homeowner’s association
* Payment of Php150.00
3. Mayor’s Permit
* DTI Certificate of registration

* Payment of Insurance
* Municipal Treasurer’s Certification that business is new and starting
* Pay 20% of 1% of paid-up Capitalization
Barangay Micro-Business Enterprise (BMBE) Act of 2002 (RA 9178)
* A barangay micro Business enterprise is engaged in production, processing or manufacturing of products as well as trading and services with a total assets of 3 million.
* Such as assets include those arising from loans but not the land on which the plant or equipment located
Incentives:
* Income tax Exemption from income arising from the operation of the enterprise
* Exemption from the coverage of the Minimum wage law, but employees will receive social security and health care benefits
* Priority to a special credit window set up especially for the financing requirements of a BMBE.
How to Register:
* a. Get Application from office of the Treasurer of the City or Municipality where the business is located
* b. Submit accomplished form with 3 passport size ID pictures
* c. A registered BMBE gets a Certificate of Authority effective for one year
4. BIR registration Certification no. and Tax identification no. (TIN) (www.bir.gov.ph)
5. Social Security System (www.sss.gov.ph)
* An employer or any person who uses services of another person in business, trade, industry or any undertaking must be registered with the SSS
* Social, civic professional, charitable and other non-profit organization which hire the services of employees are considered “employers”
FRANCHISING TERM
Listed below are the terms that we need to be familiarized when considering buying a franchise. It’s good to be familiarized with these words to better understand the business model and the documents you’ll be reading when going to sign a franchise contract.
* Franchisor – is the one who owns the overall rights and trademarks of the company and the one who gives the permit ion to its franchisees to use the rights and trademarks to do business. The franchisor charges the franchisee an upfront payment called ‘franchise fee’ for the rights to do business under the franchise name. In most cases, the franchisor also collects royalty fee from the franchisee.
* Franchisee – An individual that is granted a franchise, as to market a company’s goods or services in a certain local area.
* Franchise Fee – Is the cost of entry when purchasing a franchise business. This fee is primarily paid upfront to the franchisor by the franchisees for the use of the rights and trademarks of the business and is used by the franchisor to fund the initial support required by new franchisees.
* Franchise Agreement – is a legally binding agreement which outlines the franchisor’s terms and conditions for the franchisee. The franchise agreement also clearly outlines the obligations of the franchisor and the obligations of the franchisee. The franchise agreement is signed at the time an individual has made the final decision to buy the franchise.
* Trademark – is a distinctive sign or indicator used by an individual, business organization, or other legal entity to identify that the products or services to consumers with which the trademark appears originate from a unique source, and to distinguish its products or services from those of other entities. A trademark is usually a name, word, phrase, logo, symbol, design, image, or a combination of these elements.
* Royalty Fee – Is a set amount of money that a business franchise owner has to pay to be part of a franchise system. Usually, the fee is calculated as a percentage of gross or net sales and it is paid weekly, monthly or quarterly. The cost cover the privilege of using the franchise’s brand and the money is usually used to help out the franchisor (or parent company of the franchise) offset administrative and support functions.
